40ft Storage Container Hire
Our storage containers are all extra-large 40ft with a ceiling height of at least 2.5m which gives you around 30m³ of space.
This gives you much more room to store bulky, large items and gives you a lot more bang for your buck. Designed to endure a hard life on the seas, our steel-constructed containers are weatherproof and help to keep your belongings safe and secure.

Other Chesterfield self-storage facilities tend to only offer up to 20ft containers and our self-storage units are all 40ft.
When working out the value of storage, ours are around £1.25 per m³ per week, where as a 20ft container elsewhere will cost around £1.80 per m³ per week. That makes our containers around 50% cheaper than our competitors.
We ask that you avoid storing hazardous or highly-flammable materials, unregistered vehicles or perishable items (such as food). This is simply for your own protection, as storage of these items will likely cause damage to, or spoil anything else contained inside your hired storage container.
Other than that, we are happy for you to store whatever you might need to, for as long as you might need to.
We are happy to work on a month-to-month basis or a longer contract basis, flexible depending on your needs.
We understand that your storage needs can change, particularly when moving house, house-hunting or clearing a home following a bereavement so we give you the choice on how you want to pay.
The minimum container hire term is one month but there’s no maximum.
As long as it’s the full amount and on time, we don’t mind! We can take payment by direct monthly, standing orders, cash, credit/debit card or even Paypal!
We do ask that you pay a 1-month deposit and your first month up front and should you fall repeatedly into arrears, we do reserve the right to dispose of the items stored inside your container.
Our yard is open 5 days a week, Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-4pm (excluding bank holidays).
However, we can arrange access for you by appointment. Simply give us a call or send us an email and we can help to arrange a member of staff to be on site to give you access to your container.
We do not allow unaccompanied visits to the container yard for the security and peace of mind of our customers.
Insurance of the contents of your container are your responsibility. We do not offer any level of insurance cover on your belongings and strongly suggest that you take out adequate cover for the items you are storing.
As we will ask you to supply your own padlock, only you and anyone you provide the key to will be able to access your container.
This helps to keep your belongings secure and prevents unwanted access.
